Delightful Romance with pink hair, fairies and English castles!

Fiona Harper's ENGLISH LORD, ORDINARY LADY is a short romance read, both humorous and emotional with its vivid imagery. Historic class snobbery and modernity conflict as the hero and heroine meet and seek to make a place for themselves and their hearts. ENGLISH LORD, ORDINARY LADY has a perfect mixture of romantic conflict and tenderness.

William Radcliff is an English lord by birth and determined to follow all the protocols of nobility --- including the stuffiness. But when it comes to his attraction --- sometimes all the protocol in the world can't prevent a kiss! When Will returns to claim his birthright, an English castle Elmhurst Hall, the first thing he encounters is a little pink fairy in the shape of a little girl and his mom Josie with hot-pants pink hair! Josie is one bad girl with her crazy hair and tabloid pictures to prove it. What happens when you mix these two (or three) together --- trouble and love all wrapped in one!

ENGLISH LORD, ORDINARY LADY is fun light and humorous romance read. Josie is a rebel against the class system that confines with rules and protocol. Will seeks to re-establish his place in society. Will's stuffiness and preservation of class protocol create humorous conflicts without a mean-spirited bullying arrogance of the typical alpha male romance hero against the heroine. Fiona's characterization of the hero makes him quite appealing to the reader as well as to Josie! On the surface, Josie and Will appear to be opposites but as the hero and heroine both struggle to make a way for themselves based on their hearts rather than the circles society has placed them, their hearts find a way of seeing through the surface to values they share. Will is a perfect hero for her --- especially after he meets her and has his eyes opened. Once they recognize their feelings, can they also also work together? Will Elmhurst Hall unite or separate them? When chaos strikes, will Josie's family interfere and how?

Fiona Harper creates scenes between the main characters and the secondary family characters that change hearts. The scenes between Will and Josie's daughter, the little girl fairy, create a tender, heart-warming effect that brings echoes of the Cinderella story back in an innovative and changed context. Fiona Harper creates several nice twists in which disaster leads to tenderness between her characters. Humor mixes with hidden dreams in this romance, creating a memorable read both delightful and emotionally satisfying.

Elmhorst Hall has a new owner, but the finances of the once stately hall are in total disarray. Will Radcliffe wants to restore the home to its former glory and is determined to follow the traditional rules of society. Josie is unconventional, with a pink streak in her hair. She's totally wrong for Will. Or is she?

I have to admit that this is a line I've avoided simply because the plot descriptions and titles sounded like nothing I would enjoy. But pink hair? I could appreciate a woman like Josie as a heroine! Josie's antics left me laughing out loud, while at other times I cried right along with her. Josie's desperate need to be an individual is understandable in the class-driven world she has lived in. Her growth as a character was pivotal to the storyline.

Fiona Harper addresses several deeper issues in this book, mainly focusing on outward appearances and class structure. The contrast between the stuffiness of the titled, society-focused individuals and Josie adds a layer of depth to the overall storyline. Does having a title or dressing in Armani suits or Prada pumps make someone a better person? Watching Josie grow into her own unique person rather than simply conforming is heartwarming and sometimes emotional.

ENGLISH LORD, ORDINARY LADY is a sweet but beautiful tale. The story is almost magical at times, with castles and one delightful fairy-winged child to complement the story. Fantastic read and easily recommended!

Surprisingly funny

No ordinary Lady but a rebellious one. He is a newly minted Lord wanting respect, she a Lady not wanting the title. Enter a special fairy princess or a daughter from the h rebellious phase and instant hilarity. The daughter acts make re of a Lady than the mother but is very special. Great, fun read that had me laughing out loud.

I found this book to very informative. It was suggested of the class that I am taking. I am studying toward ordination as a Deacon in the Catholic Faith. The other two books the Church at Prayer:Eucharist, and the Church at Prayer:Sacraments. I have not read as of yet.

In order to synthesize these new data, researchers of early archosaurs from around the world met at the first symposium of early archosaur evolution at the IV Congreso Latinoamericano de Paleontolog�a de Vertebrados (September 2011) in San Juan, Argentina. This symposium facilitated collaboration and strove to paint a better understanding of these extraordinary animals. The resultant body of work is a state-of-the-art examination of early archosaur groups and their close relatives including historical, anatomical, biogeographical, evolutionary and palaeobiological data. This contribution furthers our knowledge of the anatomy, relationships, and palaeobiology of species-level taxa as well as more global patterns of archosaur evolution during the Triassic.

Helpful format

The format is concise, yet contains thorough explanations to guide students away from making errors when it comes to taking the state exam. This is a handy tool for the diligent student who may like to prepare on their own, as well as a useful tool for the student who needs to boost their over-all understanding of the course work.

Book is full of worked examples, followed by problem sets to makes sure the concepts and calculations have been mastered.

About the Author
Bishop Robert M Solomon is the Bishop of The Methodist Church in Singapore. He had served previously as a medical doctor in government service, pastor of two churches, and principal of Trinity Theological College. He holds a PhD in pastoral theology from the University of Edinburgh. Having written several books and contributed articles to books, theological dictionaries, and journals, he was also an international advisor to the American Journal of Pastoral Counseling and sits on the editorial board of Conversations, a journal on spiritual formation. He has an active speaking and teaching ministry in many countries. He is featured in 100 Inspiring Rafflesians, 1823-2003.
