Cher Martin Franklin, Ph.D., is a psychotherapist specializing in women's spirituality and adolescent girls. As co-founder/co-director of Girls Star: Helping Adolescent Girls Find Their True Selves, she has administered, developed and facilitated a peer mentoring program that has empowered teenaged girls since 1997. She is in private practice in Exton, Pennsylvania. The mother of Kira Lia, 20, and stepmother of Jamilah, 25, Dr. Franklin lives on a farm in Chester County with John and two cats.
